This achievement is not only a source of pride for Cao Thang Eye Hospital but also a remarkable milestone for Vietnam’s medical sector in the regional landscape. Cao Thang Eye Hospital and its pioneering journey in ophthalmology
Founded in 2001 in Ho Chi Minh City, Cao Thang Eye Hospital quickly became a trusted address for the examination and treatment of eye diseases. From the very beginning, the hospital shaped a sustainable development strategy with a vision of modern technology as its foundation and patients as the center. It continuously updated and invested in advanced techniques such as refractive laser surgery, Phakic intraocular lens implantation, cataract treatment, presbyopia surgery, and myopia control for children. A highlight of the hospital’s clinical work is the application of international-standard refractive treatment protocols from Carl Zeiss (Germany).

The hospital also owns state-of-the-art equipment such as the Zeiss Mel 90 Excimer Laser, the Zeiss Visumax 800 Femtosecond Laser, and the Zeiss Visufit 1000 optical measurement system. These devices ensure maximum precision and safety in treatment while providing a premium medical experience with 1:1 patient care, VIP waiting rooms, and a modern HIS system for efficient hospital management.

JOINT COMMISSION INTERNATIONAL (JCI) ACCREDITATION – THE GLOBAL HEALTHCARE STANDARD
Joint Commission International (JCI) is regarded as the world’s most rigorous healthcare standard, with triennial evaluations across hundreds of strict criteria, covering hospital management, emergency response, infection control, and post-operative care quality. Successfully maintaining JCI accreditation for six consecutive terms has positioned Cao Thang Eye Hospital as a benchmark for high-quality healthcare, not only in Vietnam but across Southeast Asia.

A JOURNEY FOR THE COMMUNITY
Beyond medical services, the hospital has carried out many meaningful community projects, most notably the “Vision Bus – A Lifetime of Sight” program, which brings eye care services to suburban and neighboring provinces, providing free surgeries and medications for local residents. The hospital has also implemented many school programs to raise children’s awareness of eye care.

The journey for the community always goes hand in hand with the hospital’s quality mission.
Over more than two decades of development, Cao Thang Eye Hospital has affirmed its pioneering role in high-quality ophthalmology in Vietnam. With an experienced team of doctors, cutting-edge equipment, and a commitment to continuous innovation, the hospital continues striving to deliver internationally standardized medical services, contributing to the protection and preservation of vision for the community.
